How we work

Local production of sustainable textiles
All our fabrics are woven in Enschede. For Enschede Textielstad, local production also means local sourcing. We know all our suppliers personally, which ensures that the raw materials used in our process are produced under fair conditions. Moreover, local sourcing minimizes the environmental impact that transport entails. For this reason we only work with European yarn suppliers.

Production on demand
We produce on demand. Whether you want to order 1 meter or have 10,000 meters woven; we make exactly what you need. By producing in this way, we waste as few resources as possible, and we can match the fabric exactly to your specifications.

Fashion and interior
Our specialty is recycling. We apply our knowledge about recycled materials in both fashion fabrics and fabrics that are suitable for curtains and upholstery. Are you looking for a specific material? Do not hesitate to contact us, we are happy to think along with you about the sustainable options.

Order fabric
Would you like to work with our fabrics? This can be done in three different ways, depending on the desired speed and the complexity of the question. Below we explain our production methods:

Normally we produce on demand, but due to the increasing demand from consumers and small companies, we have a selection of our best sellers in stock in our webshop. You can order small quantities here, you usually receive your parcel the next working day. Are you looking for larger volumes? Then contact us for a customized offer.

Made-to-order means weaving (a variation on) a fabric that we have already made. An overview of various fashion fabrics and upholstery fabrics can be found on the website and in our showroom in Enschede. If the yarn is in stock it will take approximately 3-4 weeks for your order to be delivered. We can also order yarns in a different color or composition for you, this adds approximately 2 weeks to the lead time.

Would you like to use your own waste for a new product, or would you like us to develop a new fabric type? We are happy to take on the challenge! Custom made developments generally have a somewhat longer lead time, because it involves experimental development with multiple partners. We have extensive experience with such projects, so try us and surprise us with your question!
